Opfer
insult: 'loser, pathetic person' (weaker: 'uncool, dumb')
Origin
Literally 'Opfer' means someone who suffers harm through an act, accident or disaster. In the youth language of the 2000s it developed into a derogatory insult for someone seen as weak, stupid or inferior - the suffering being recast as the 'victim's' personal weakness. Depending on context, this use can be a punishable insult.
