For sameness, usually with „so“ in front: so groß wie, genauso teuer wie. No comparative, because nothing is ranked, it is equated.

Sie ist so alt wie ich.She's the same age as me.

Er ist größer wie ich.

Er ist größer als ich.

„größer“ is a comparative, and a comparative is followed by „als“. „größer wie“ is common in colloquial speech but counts as wrong.

Mnemonic: same means wie, different means als. Wherever a comparative (-er) stands, „wie“ never follows.
