Two-part connector 'sowohl … als auch' (both … and)

What it is. sowohl … als auch adds two things together - "both ... and". It stresses that not just one, but both elements apply.

How it works. sowohl introduces the first element, als auch the second. The two parts are parallel (usually nouns or adjectives).
