Explanation
For er/sie/es (he/she/it), regular verbs take the stem plus -t.
- machen to er macht
- spielen to sie spielt
- kosten to es kostet
If the stem ends in -t or -d, add -et for easier speaking: arbeiten to er arbeitet, finden to sie findet. The same -t ending works for all three: er, sie and es.
Common mistake: Do not forget the -t. It is sie spielt, never sie spiel. And with a -d stem, remember the extra e: sie findet.
