Yeet

yeet; to hurl something hard / an exclamation while throwing (energetic meme slang)

Origin

Anglicism from US meme culture. The word appeared in US English in the mid-2000s but became famous in 2014 through a viral video on the app Vine: 13-year-old 'Lil Meatball' from Dallas danced to it while 'Yah Yah Yeet' was sung – the video was viewed over 40 million times. 'Yeet' denotes hurling something forcefully or serves as an energetic exclamation while throwing; originally it was also the name of an associated dance.
