softie, wimp (lit. 'warm-showerer'; jocular insult for someone soft/risk-averse)
Origin
A jocular term of mockery, colloquial and derogatory, for a sensitive, anxious 'softie' type: someone who only showers warm is seen as wimpy. Formed as a compound of 'warm' and 'Duscher' (from 'duschen', to shower). The word became popular in the 1990s and stands for a whole wave of similar mock compounds.
