lit

awesome, exciting, 'fire' (a great party, vibe or thing)

Origin

„lit“ is borrowed from English (the of 'to light' = 'to ignite', literally 'lit/kindled') and first developed the sense 'intoxicated, drunk'. In today's youth slang it means 'awesome, great, fire' and describes an especially good party, or thing (English 'X is fire'). Rooted in US hip-hop culture, it spread in the German-speaking world mainly through the Austrian rapper Money Boy and via social media.
