flexen
to show off / brag (with status symbols, looks or money)
Origin
From the English 'to flex' (depending on context 'to bend' or 'to one's muscles'); in US hip-hop culture it has been used since the 1990s meaning 'to show off' or 'to brag with status symbols'. German rappers picked the word up, so 'flexen' entered youth slang meaning 'to brag, show off, boast' - e.g. with expensive clothes, one's body, or holiday photos. (Not to be confused with the older trade sense of 'flexen' = to cut with an angle grinder.)
