fettich

done, finished, wiped out (colloquial pronunciation spelling of 'fertig')

Origin

A colloquial, dialectal pronunciation spelling of 'fertig' (done/ready): in the Ruhr area and parts of north-west Germany the ending '-ig' is spoken like '-ich', i.e. [ˈfɛtɪç], which produced the spelling 'fettich'. Like 'fertig' it means both 'finished/over' (e.g. 'wennet fettich is') and 'completely exhausted, wiped out'. It is not standard German but a regional, sound-based spelling.
