Bruh

bro / ugh (interjection of disbelief, disappointment or secondhand embarrassment)

Origin

'Bruh' comes from American English and is a slurred form of 'brother' or 'bro', shaped above all in the US rap and hip-hop scene. Originally a friendly term of address for a buddy, online it has mainly taken on the meaning of a deadpan exclamation: one reacts with 'Bruh' to something disappointing, embarrassing or unbelievable. It can also express astonishment, roughly 'seriously?'.
